2021 Chevrolet Camaro in Liberty, MO
Charismatic, compelling, and coupe-or-convertible capable, the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro is a sports car unlike the competition. From its polished design to its desirable under-the-hood specs, no other vehicle sets the tone for a captivating ride quite like this one.
Trim Levels
The base 1LS coupe starts us off with 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lamps, and power side mirrors. The remaining trims come in both coupe and convertible styles. The 1LT and 2LT add perks such as a power-folding top and rear stanchion spoiler, while the 3LT further embellishes with auto-dimming, heating, and memory controls for the outside mirrors. Next up is the LT1 with its 20-inch wheels, black bowtie emblems, and optional red adornments. The 1SS and 2SS incorporate dark tinted taillamps, whereas the ZL1 flaunts graphite painted wheels and a trim-inspired rear spoiler.
Engine
This sports car produces 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque via a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's standard on most trims. The unit itself pairs with a turbocharger and variable valve timing, while a six-speed manual transmission introduces hill hold assist and active rev matching to beef up performance. A 3.6-liter V-6 is optional for the LT lineup that produces 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the LT1 turns to a 6.2-liter V-8 that generates 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. The ZL1 gets a supercharged version of this engine, churning out 650 on both fronts that accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Performance
The Camaro runs with a rear-wheel-drive chassis. It also comes with all-season tires for year-round coverage, a limited-slip rear differential for enhanced traction, and four driving modes that help you adjust to different road conditions. A climb up the trim ladder helps boost your Camaro's potential. The LT1 comes with front Brembo antilock brakes and a performance suspension. The 1SS adds rear Brembo brakes and a top-notch mechanical cooling system. The ZL1 rounds out the lineup with Goodyear tires, a quad-outlet exhaust, and launch and magnetic ride controls.
Interior
This sports car doesn't skimp on comfort. It fits up to four passengers, dons front bucket seats with power controls, and comes adorned with leather upholstery. It also boasts a 7-inch infotainment screen that lets you access Bluetooth audio streaming, smartphone integration, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. The LT series unlocks a unique range of extras, from heated and ventilated front seats, to a wireless charging pad, to ambient lighting with 24 color options. Meanwhile, the ZL1 adds a charming finish, thanks to alloy sport pedals, sueded microfiber upholstery, and optional red seat accents.
Safety Features
The 2021 Chevy Camaro pairs its flashy ensemble with an excellent safety net. It received five stars for overall safety, including rollover resistance and side crash protection, from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Additional perks include front knee air bags, teen driver monitoring, and a long-standing roadside assistance plan. The 1LT convertible adds front side-impact air bags for extra head and thorax cushioning, while the 3LT adds cutting-edge options such as a color head-up display, lane change alert, and rear park assist.
