2021 Chevrolet Suburban in Liberty, MO
The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban is both a functional and flattering fit for family outings. From the capable design to the innovative accents, this SUV allows you to indulge in comfort and fuel your adventurous spirit from the get-go.
Trim Levels
The Chevy Suburban comes in six trims, most of which are available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The LS starts off with 18-inch aluminum wheels, roof-mounted side rails, and LED lighting systems. The LT swaps the standard manual liftgate for a hands-free power liftgate, while the RST ups the wheel size to 22 inches. The Z71 flaunts its own 20-inch, gray-accented wheels and an optional panoramic power sunroof. After that, you get the Premier, which adds chrome accents for the door handles and mirror caps. At the top sits the High Country, a stylish trim that boasts premium painted wheels with a Sterling Silver finish.
Engine
This SUV carries a base 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 with dynamic fuel management and variable valve timing. A 10-speed automatic transmission further backs efficiency via electronic precision shifting and adjustable traction selection. With both units in full swing, you can expect an output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The High Country, on the other hand, gets a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 that creates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. A Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine that is expected to produce 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque will also be available on most trims in the future.
Performance
This vehicle boasts features such as all-season tires, electronic stability and traction controls, and a heavy-duty battery with rundown protection and no upkeep required. If you're looking to hitch a haul, we recommend upgrading to a max trailering package that pushes your pulling potential up to 8,300 pounds. Your capabilities reach their peak in off-road conditions. The Premier boasts magnetic ride control to reinforce traction and steering output, as well as an Autotrac two-speed transfer case that swaps the drivetrain from two-wheel to four-wheel at any speed. The Z71 gets the same transfer case, plus 20-inch all-terrain tires and a front skid plate.
Interior
The main centerpiece inside the Suburban is a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system with a 10.2-inch color screen. It gives you access to SiriusXM Radio, smartphone integration, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Other cabin amenities include seating for up to nine passengers, tri-zone climate control, and a configurable rear cargo area. The LT gives more features, including a nine-speaker Bose audio system, a wireless charging pad, and front seats with leather trim and lumbar support. The Premier adds even more with heated and ventilated front seats and premium navigation services. You can also indulge your entourage with an optional rear-seat entertainment system that features dual 12.6-inch touch screens.
Safety Features
The 2021 Chevy Suburban is full of top-notch safety systems, including forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and teen driver monitoring. The Premier trim adds a unique Safety Alert Seat that beeps or vibrates to signal the direction of a potential crash. Meanwhile, the High Country suits up with innovative technologies ranging from a tilt-and-zoom rear camera to a 15-inch head-up display with color graphics.
