2020 Chevrolet Trax

The Chevrolet Trax comes in three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier. The base LS model comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, manual-folding side mirrors, automatic headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, OnStar communications, a 4G LTE connection with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a six-speaker sound system featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration, and two USB ports. The LT comes standard with these same features but adds upgraded headlights, roof rails, heated mirrors, LED daytime running lights, remote start, satellite radio, upgraded cloth upholstery, a household-style 110-volt outlet, and a cargo cover. The LT Convenience package adds in a leather-wrapped steering wheel, premium cloth upholstery with faux leather inserts, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and keyless ignition and entry. The top-tier model, the Premier, includes all the features of the LT packages but adds in 18-inch wheels, faux leather upholstery, fog lights, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming mirror.

All three trims levels include a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, although the Trax is also available in all-wheel drive.

The Chevrolet Trax is great for city driving. With standard front-wheel drive and available four-wheel drive, the Trax handles well across various terrains and in all driving conditions. It maneuvers well in tight spaces. The Trax is EPA-rated at 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel-drive models. In four-wheel drive, it is rated at 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

The 2020 Trax comes standard with a 3.5-inch digital driver information display, rearview backup camera, power windows, power locks, and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System. Optional features—some of which come standard in the LT trim model—include cruise control, remote start, satellite radio, a household-style power outlet, push-button start, proximity keyless entry, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a premium seven-speaker Bose stereo system. The Chevrolet Trax can comfortably seat five adults. Standard seating gives you a four-way manually adjustable driver's seat and a two-way manually adjustable passenger seat. It has 18.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seat with an additional 48.4 cubic feet when the second row is folded down. The rear seat folds down into a 60/40 split and is nearly flat, making hauling cargo convenient.

The Trax comes standard with ten airbags and a rear vision camera to assist with backing up and parking. The Driver Confidence Package, which is available with the LT and standard with the Premier model, includes rear cross-traffic alert, side blind zone alert, and rear park assist. The Premier model also includes a forward collision alert to warn of vehicle proximity and front-end collisions and lane departure warning.
