They did the recall work as expected and the service writer was polite and helpful. The problem I have with this dealership is their trying to sell me services my car does not need. When the recall work was done the service writer gave me a printout of work that needed to be done on my 2014 Buick Enclave with 144k miles on it. The total of which was $7. The car is not worth that much. The list included new brakes on both axles, new struts in the front, and an oil leak. I will have the all of these looked over by the independent shop I go to on a regular basis. I did speak this shop and explained to them what was going on and the reply to me was he would gladly look at all off these but he had just serviced the car and checked the brakes and saw no problems with them. I had an alignment on the car last summer and they did not see any problems with the struts. The one that really bothers me is the claimed oil leak. I Chang the oil every 5k miles and check it between changes and it has never been low on oil. I also park in my garage every day. There is no sign of leaking oil on the floor. This leads me to think that this may be a way to make extra money for the shop with a $3k service job that may not accurately needed. For years I bought cars and had service work done at Westfall/O’Dell in Excelsior Springs until the were bought out by Roberts Robinson who also own Heartland who uses the same tactic. They tell you that your car has an oil leak that may or may not be real. I will try never to go to either of these shops again and would not recommend either of these places to anyone.

Dropped van off for a recall. Service department couldn't figure out why the software update wouldn't go through so they called me to tell me I will have to pay for the diagnosis if I wanted the recall to go through so they could figure out the problem. I explained it was a manufacturer recall but that didn't matter. And they kept it for 3 days. I dropped off the night before and no one called me until the day AFTER mu scheduled appointment and then kept an additional day to only tell me they couldn't do anything...unless I paid them around $200. I explained this was a recall form the manufacturer because I thought they might have me confused with someone else, but no there wasn't confusion. The issue was just too technical for them so they wanted to charge me so they could figure it out. Maybe once this hits as a google review they will want to consider making some adjustments with their customer serve and service department. They only saw me as the guy with the little van. They should have looked closer and saw that we purchase new vehicles on a pretty routine basis. However, I made a new friend down the road and what's crazy...they sell new Chevy's too! I can now take my business 10 minutes down the street so Heartland doesn't have to be bothered with me or my recalls or my new purchases.

The only issue I had was the suv I wanted to purchase was never on the lot. Tried to look at it several different days and the employee driving it was not there or left early not leaving the car for me to see. Very quick and easy transaction did not take hours! Which was appreciated!
