3 Excellent Italian Restaurants Near Liberty

Do you have a craving for pasta? Is your mouth watering as you think about another Italian favorite? Whether you are looking for a special place for a date night or a weeknight dinner, the Liberty, Missouri, area is home to several Italian restaurants. 

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant  

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, at 8 E. Franklin St., is a beautiful place for a birthday celebration, a date night, or a family meal. Staff members are waiting to serve you lunch and dinner seven days a week. The restaurant accepts reservations and large parties of up to 22 people. Once you arrive, you can enjoy daily lunch dishes such as the create-your-spaghetti offering paired with a salad and bread with dipping oil. 

The dinner menu includes starters such as fried calamari or fried ravioli. If you’re in the mood for baked pasta, try the homemade lasagna or baked ravioli. Luigi’s also prepares several chicken dishes, including chicken Florentine. Seafood lovers can enjoy the shrimp Alfredo or seafood ravioli.  

Gino’s Italian Cuisine 

Are you looking for a taste of Northern Italy without leaving the Liberty area? Visit Gino’s Italian Cuisine at 123 E. Washington St. in Kearney, 15 minutes north of Liberty. The family-owned restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Gino’s has daily specials starting at 4 p.m. If you are in the mood for pizza, try a classic or supreme Sicilian-style pizza. Gino’s also offers a 10-inch gluten-free crust.  

If you enjoy steaks, sample a petite filet or steak and shrimp. Each meal comes with either garlic mashed potatoes or pasta and bread. The pasta menu includes favorites such as jumbo ravioli. You can also enjoy the sampler that features four Italian favorites, such as sausage and meatballs and lasagna.  

Trezo Mare 

Trezo Mare, at 4105 N. Mulberry Drive in Kansas City, offers another option for Italian favorites. Visit for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Happy hour is from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with brunch available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.   

The brunch menu includes appetizers such as traditional bruschetta. Meals include cinnamon rolls, steak and eggs, and the Florentine benedict. The lunch menu has several salads, such as the tomato basil and baby spinach, plus blackened salmon tacos. You can also enjoy pasta dishes such as the lobster mac and cheese.  

Dinner favorites include the shrimp risotto and wood-fired scallops. If you’re looking for pasta dishes, try the smoked tomato fettuccine. Spicy food fans may want the Fusilli Shrimp Diablo. Make sure to save room for desserts such as the Trezo creme brulee or tiramisu.
