Get to Know the 2021 Chevy Equinox

At Heartland Chevrolet, we have a make and model on our lot that suits the needs of each and every customer. From compact cars to trucks and SUVs, we have it all, and among our lineup is the outstanding 2021 Chevy Equinox. The new Equinox is one of the most popular cars in its class for a reason. There’s a lot to love about it. Here’s what you should know.

Basics About the 2021 Chevy Equinox

The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox is a compact sport utility vehicle. Released in late 2020, the new Equinox sticks with what worked for the 2020 Equinox without significant upgrades. Drivers love the 2021 Equinox’s spacious cabin, competitive fuel economy, and overall peppy feel on the road.

The Equinox has standard front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive. All trim levels also come with Chevy Safety Assist, which is an advanced safety suite that includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, and automatic high beam headlamps that turn on and off according to driving conditions. This safety suite in combination with the high safety ratings from major agencies across the board solidifies the compact SUV as a safety leader in its class.

Trim Levels

The new Equinox comes in four different trims: L, LS, LT, and Premier. The L model comes with all standard features, including 17-inch aluminum wheels. The LS trim gets LED daytime running lights as well as a long list of available safety, technology, and convenience add-ons.

The LT boasts extras like available heated seats and HID headlamps. The Premier gets standard 18-inch wheels and leather seats, among other available add-ons. It combines a luxury feel with reliable performance while still maintaining competitive pricing.

Unique Features

Aside from the basic features we’ve already mentioned, the Equinox has several additional noteworthy specs. Safety-wise, a standard backup camera, available adaptive cruise control, available rear cross-traffic alert, available rear park assist, and available HD surround vision are all worthy of mention. All Equinox trims also include impressive infotainment features, such as a 7-inch touchscreen as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Other nice touches to the 2021 Equinox are 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability, active noise cancellation, keyless open and start, and six-speed automatic transmission. A 1.5-liter turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine is standard, and it allows for up to 170 horsepower at 5600 rpm. Higher trim levels add the option of a 2-liter, turbocharged engine with an output of 252-horsepower.

As you can probably tell, the 2021 Equinox is competitive in its class by all measures: safety, technology, performance, and price. We think it’s quite the catch. Schedule a test drive in a new Equinox at Heartland Chevrolet to try it out on the road for yourself!
