1. Chaumiere Lake

Prairie Lee Lake is a large freshwater reservoir packed with largemouth bass and other fish. There are lots of spots around the water’s edge for fishing. You may have extra good luck fishing here if you visit during the colder months.

4. William L Howard Lake

A six-acre body of water, William L Howard is a quiet, local spot for fishing. Situated in a mostly residential area, this lake rarely gets too busy. You could expect to find fish like the spotted bass in these waters.

William L. Howard Lake is located right here in Liberty. It’s roughly a five-minute drive from the downtown area with an access point on Poplar Lane.

5. Tomahawk Parkway Middle Pond

Tomahawk Parkway Middle Pond is a hidden gem of a fishing spot. Surrounded by trees and fed by Tomahawk Creek, it is a good spot for catching channel catfish, largemouth bass, and bluegill.

Although this pond is located about 40 minutes from Liberty, it is well worth the drive for fishing enthusiasts. Find the access point off Tomahawk Parkway in Leawood.
