See Why Drivers Love the 2021 Chevy Suburban

Chevy hit the ground running this year with its newly redesigned Suburban. This large SUV is bold with an athletic design that makes a statement every time it arrives. Its presence is made even more striking with its huge new grille, beautifully adorned with Chevy’s signature bowtie emblem. The 2021 Chevy Suburban has a spacious interior with a fully functioning third row of seating, making this vehicle a very practical family hauler.
Well-Designed, Independent Rear Suspension
This is the first year that the Suburban has been built with an Independent Rear Suspension system. This system is arguably one of Chevy’s best additions to this year’s model, as it notably improves the overall driving experience. The attention to detail creates a smoother and more stable rear differential that substantially improves both ride and handling.
The size difference between the new suspension system and a traditional axle has lowered the floor of the Suburban by 5.3 inches. This increased interior space creates an improved seating experience, expanding the overall cabin space and legroom. The extra inches only add to the already massive cargo area.
Expanded Cargo Area
The Suburban has always been known to have a large storage area, often making it one of the top reasons buyers choose to drive one. Chevy has outdone itself this year by building the 2021 Suburban with an even larger cargo area, surpassing its own previous generations.
No other competitor can match the significantly larger amount of passenger and cargo space of this SUV. The lowered floor expands the cargo area to a total volume of up to 145 cubic feet when the second and third rows of seats are folded down.
High-Tech Conveniences
The 2021 Suburban features front-seat luxuries that every modern driver will benefit from. The heated and ventilated seats, as well as the wireless charging pad, have proven to be quite popular.
This year’s model elevates the driver experience even more with a state-of-the-art infotainment system, new head-up display to improve driver awareness, and a newly redesigned instrument cluster that is now much larger and fully digital. Drivers will find all of the modern conveniences to be quite useful both on daily drives and on longer road trips.
Solid Towing Abilities
Smart engineering and tireless innovation have allowed automakers to create daily drivers with impressive capabilities. No longer do families need to rent a truck or an RV to haul a boat or a camper now that they can just tow their toys right from their family vehicle. The Suburban becomes stronger and tougher with each generation, towing up to 8,300 pounds with ease.
The Chevy Suburban continues to top the leaderboard year after year, as this is truly the quintessential family car. This year’s model is spacious, powerful, and fully capable, giving drivers an excellent option when transporting family or large groups of friends. Come see us today at Heartland Chevrolet to book a test drive and see how this large SUV would perfectly complement your lifestyle.

6 Common Signs You May Need a New Car Battery

Every car needs a battery. It helps to keep the electronic features and systems powered up, while also helping the engine to ignite and operate correctly too. However, batteries don’t last forever. They wear down and run out of power over time, and it’s important to know some of the key signs to look out for when you might need a new car battery in Liberty, MO.
1. Warning Lights on the Dashboard
Let’s start off with one of the simplest warning signs of them all: the warning light. Various lights can appear on your dashboard as issues arise with your vehicle, and if you spot one shaped like a battery, it’s highly likely that your car’s battery is beginning to fail.
2. Faulty Headlights
Another very obvious sign that something might be wrong with your car’s battery is when the headlights start to flicker or behave strangely. Battery power keeps the lights up and running, but if the battery is low on juice, the lights might start to appear dimmer and less effective than usual, which can be very dangerous when driving at night or in dimly lit areas.
3. Electronic Issues
The headlights are just one of many electrical systems and features found throughout your vehicle, and all of those different features can start to struggle when the battery is on the way out. You might notice all kinds of problems, from stuttering power windows to stuck sunroofs, slow charging USB ports, or heated seats that fail to heat up.
4. Engine Trouble
As stated earlier, your car’s battery also helps to get the engine fired up. So, when the battery is on its last legs, the engine can behave a little unpredictably as well. You might find that you simply hear a clicking noise when turning the key, for example, or it might just take a little longer than normal for the engine to start up.
5. Swollen or Misshapen Case
If you want to check up on your battery’s health now and then, try lifting the hood and taking a look at it. Healthy batteries should be rectangular, with straight edges and no visible issues, but unhealthy batteries can start to swell or appear misshapen.
6. Corrosion
As well as looking for swelling, be sure to visually inspect your battery on a regular basis for any signs of corrosion too. Corrosion will occur if the battery acid begins to leak out of the case, and it can do serious damage, not only to the battery itself but to other components under the hood. You can easily spot corrosion by the appearance of a blue or grayish powdery-like substance around the connectors.
It’s never a good idea to drive around with a bad battery, and as soon as you spot any of the issues listed above, it’s vital to get a battery replacement as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the bigger the issues will become, and if you wait too long, your car could become completely unresponsive. Contact Heartland Chevrolet today to order essential auto services, repairs, and replacement batteries.

Check Out the 2021 Chevy Trax
When the two-row, five-person Chevy Trax made its debut almost a decade ago, drivers flocked to dealerships as they were sold on the crossover SUV’s compact size and affordable pricing. The 2021 models continue that tradition, despite Chevrolet eliminating the Premier trim, leaving just two trims to choose from. However, the 2021 Trax has several features that make it stand out above all others in its class, so use this guide to learn what you can expect from this SUV.
Excellent Fuel Economy
When compared to other vehicles in its class, the 2021 Trax attains above-average fuel economy numbers. The SUV has one engine option: a 1.4-liter turbocharged one that produces 138 horsepower. It comes mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive with its rear drum brakes comes standard, but you can opt for all-wheel drive and its four-wheel disc brakes in either of its two trims.

Front- and rear-seat travelers enjoy plenty of headroom, and those riding in the front can stretch their legs, which comes in handy especially during long drives. A manual four-way driver’s seat comes standard, but you can upgrade for a six-way power-adjustable seat.
